Celebrating San Antonio's World Heritage

Welcome to the Alamo City, A City of Authenticity

San Antonio is a city steeped in the authenticity of cultures that have called our city home for over 300 years. Our historical locations are unmatched, and we have the recognition to prove it.

Home to the largest concentration of Spanish colonial missions in North America, San Antonio has received high recognition from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

In fact, our incredible historical sites aren’t the only features UNESCO recognizes. San Antonio has also enjoyed UNESCO recognition for its incredible food scene since October 2017! We are one of the country's only two UNESCO-deemed Creative Cities of Gastronomy!
