June 13-15 -- 37th Annual Texas Folklife Festival: Celebrate all things Texas during this cultural extravganza which brings more than 40 ethnic groups together to showcase their authentic food, music, dance and crafts at UTSA's Institute of Texas Cultures.
June 14-15 -- 4th Annual Blanco Lavender Festival: Celebrate lavender in bloom during the annual Lavender Festival in Blanco just north of San Antonio. This enjoyable weekend includes arts and crafts as well as music.
June 19-21 -- Juneteenth: Observances throughout the city include picnics, festivals and a Freedom Fair honoring this day in 1865 when Texas slaves received word of the Emancipation Proclamation.
June 21-Sept 7 -- Witte Museum - The Genius of Leonardo: Making its U.S. debut at the Witte Museum, this exhibit takes visitors into the magical world of Leonardo da Vinci's mastermind machines, built from his original drawings.
June 28 -- Houston Street Fair & Market: This monthly fair features rides, face painting, storytelling, handmade arts and crafts by local artists, drinks, food and more.
June 30-July 4 -- Fourth of July Celebration: Enjoy festivals, concerts and fireworks at locations across San Antonio celebrating Independence Day.
July 1-31 -- Contemporary Art Month: The nation's only month-long celebration of contemporary art. Over 500 local, national and international artists participate.
