Event Description

U.S. Army All-American Bowl Week also includes the U.S. Army Coaches Academy, U.S. Army National Combine, and U.S. Army All-American Awards Dinner. The U.S. Army Coaches Academy features 100 of the nation’s top coaches, including the head coach of each All-American. The Coaches Academy includes coaching seminars and an on-field clinic, featuring NFL and NCAA clinicians. The U.S. Army National Combine is a three-day event that features 500 of the nation’s top underclassman football players. Athletes participate in measurable skills activities, one-on-one drills, and educational seminars. The U.S. Army All-American Awards Dinner is the nation’s largest high school football awards dinner with more than 1,300 attendees, and includes the U.S. Army Player of the Year trophy presentation.

The Alamodome is a city owned and operated multi-purpose sports entertainment facility located in downtown San Antonio. The Alamodome is conveniently located within a 7-10 minute walk from major hotels and restaurants,approximately 9 miles south of the San Antonio International Airport. The facility is in the business of booking and staging events of all types and, after opening in May 1993, the Alamodome has become a significant Texas venue for presenting major sporting events, concerts and conventions. The Alamodome is a 64,382 seat Stadium and an 8,000 to 35,000 Arena. Through the use of portable and fixed telescopic seating and portable curtains it is capable of being configured for both stadium events and arena events.
