Museums: Anything but Stuffy!

From the Buckhorn to the Witte Museum, San Antonio's museum scene is a great indoor option during the summer. The San Antonio Museum of Art features guided and self-guided tours and activities geared towards kids ranging from infant to tweens.

New to San Antonio is The DoSeum, a world-class museum for kids, featuring three two-story buildings filled with interactive exhibits and educational activities, so families can stay cool while learning and having fun.

Battle for Texas: The Experience is a fully immersive and interactive adventure showcasing the most historically significant Alamo artifacts and connecting them to the past through heart-racing multimedia reenactments.

Game On

Elude the lasers among the 14-feet tall robots on two levels of battle anarchy with black light illumination at the Laser Legend arena. In the Amazing Mirror Maze you will need to find your way out of a maze composed entirely of mirriors and endless hallways.

Bowlero San Antonio is specially suited for family fun, with blacklight bowling, a ropes course and an arcade.

Explore the world of marine life at the San Antonio Aquarium, where kids and families can view thousands of species, interact with tropical birds and reptiles and catch some air in the I-Guana Jump Bounce House.

The San Antonio Fire Museum and Gift Shop gives visitors a look at the occupation’s history, including 19th century artifacts, archived documents, photos and a fire truck kids can climb on.

Sensational Theater Adventures

No matter what's playing at the Alamo IMAX Theatre Rivercenter, you're in the middle of the action with the sights and sounds of IMAX. Many of the movies are in 3D, an incredible experience on the six-story high screen with digital surround sound.

Ripley's Moving Theater 4D features thrilling action movies with seats that move in eight directions. Rocket around the state in the Skies Over Texas 3D/4D Theater Ride, located on the ground floor of the Tower of the Americas.
