San Antonio is the place for family fun with great theme parks, animal encounters and a vast array of entertainment options. Here are some more kid-friendly options for kids of all ages. 

The San Antonio Botanical Garden is an unforgettable destination that will give your kids an up-close and personal journey through nature, right in the heart of the city.

The DoSeum, our new museum for kids, is an educational destination with interactive exhibits designed to help children become creative problem solvers. It offers exhibits unlike any other children’s museum in the country, including an interactive robot named Baxter, a spy academy filled with math challenges, an interactive puppet parade, water features and more.

The Buckhorn Saloon & Museum, just two blocks from the Alamo, is a 131-year-old institution housing two museums. One is devoted to ranch life in South Texas and the other to legendary lawmen, the Texas Rangers.

The Institute of Texan Cultures uses interactive, hands-on exhibits and displays to showcase more than 20 ethnic groups that settled in Texas.

The newly renovated and revamped Scobee Planetarium and Challenger Learning Center is now open to the public. Families can explore Mission Control, the Orion Launch Vehicle, the Airlock and the Space Station, ending with a visit to the Star Deck for a stargazing party at night.

Louis Tussaud’s Wax Works & Ripley’s Believe It or Not and Ripley’s Moving Theater 4D are three unique venues for hours of fun.

Ripley’s Haunted Adventure, Guinness World Records Museum and Tomb Rider 3D provide the opportunity to explore themed galleries, experience a haunted house and take an adventure ride. Then walk over to The Amazing Mirror Maze Challenge for a unique experience for all ages.

The Witte Museum showcases 170,000 square feet of renovations and expansion after new milestone of re-opening it's doors in March of 2017. The massive new exhibitions on People of the Pecos and Texas Wild along with a permanent dinosaur exhibit highlight the additions to this historic San Antonio attraction.

ZDT's Amusement Park was designed with families in mind! Attractions are geared to entertain a wide age range.

The San Antonio Aquarium, provides children and families access to the excitement and learning opportunities of the ocean. Exhibits include jelly fish, sea horses, crocodilian, rare and colorful corals, sharks, stingrays, and thousands of other species. In addition to marine life, guests can interact with tropical birds and friendly reptiles.
Dude Ranches

Just 50 miles northwest of San Antonio you’All find Bandera, the “Cowboy Capital of the World.” Here more than a dozen dude ranches give visitors the chance to go horseback riding and fishing, or enjoy a hearty meal at a campfire cookout.
